The Client

Prominent is a custom software development and IT staffing company based in Bismarck, North Dakota. Its team plans and builds custom web, mobile, AI and IoT software, offers ongoing support on retainer, and places IT professionals with clients through contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire and pass-through staffing.

The Challenge

Prominent's previous website was a short static site with a stock photo of a developer, an orange "Expertise. Strategy. Results." banner and a few brief paragraphs about custom software. IT staffing, half of what the company does, barely appeared beyond a Staff Augmentation link, and there was no place to show past projects or what clients thought of the work, apart from a single testimonial.

The company serves very different visitors. Businesses come looking for a software partner or for IT talent, and job seekers come looking for their next role. Each group needed to find its own path quickly, and the site needed to make a small Bismarck team look as capable as the national clients it already works with.

Our Approach

We organized the new site around Prominent's two main services. The main menu splits into Custom Software Development Services and IT Staffing Services, each with its own set of pages, and the homepage introduces both side by side: four staffing models on one side, eight software services on the other. A dark teal and warm orange design, built from the Prominent logo, carries through every page, with a "Let's Chat" button always in the header.

We built the site on WordPress with Elementor Pro and JetEngine. Case studies, testimonials and team members are managed as their own content types, so the same client quotes and project stories can appear on the homepage, service pages and staffing pages without being copied by hand. The blog, case studies and service pages are all in Prominent's hands to update.

What We Built

The IT staffing services page walks clients through how Prominent finds candidates, from clarifying goals and starting the search to screening, interviews and staying in touch after placement. Each step has its own icon and a short, plain description.
The Areas of Expertise page groups the roles Prominent staffs into engineers, analysts, product and project managers, developers and designers, and help desk and IT support. Each card lists the specific job titles, so a hiring manager can see at a glance whether their need is covered.
Prominent's Solution Roadmap is a planning service sold before development starts, and its page lays out the eight steps it includes, from project kickoff and wireframes to the findings presentation. A short section on how roadmaps are built and when they make sense helps buyers decide if it's right for them.
Client projects, from a Department of Transportation mobile app to an emergency response system for schools, are published as case studies with photos and full write-ups. The same stories appear in a carousel on the homepage and in a recent case studies sidebar on each project page.
The blog shows articles in a paged grid of image cards with a title, excerpt and read more link. New posts on software, security and IT staffing appear on the page as soon as the team publishes them.
The Let's Chat page puts phone, email and the Bismarck headquarters address next to an embedded map, with a short contact form below. Most pages end with a "Start a Conversation" button that leads here.

Two services, one clear site

Software development and IT staffing each have their own menu, pages and calls to action, so visitors can tell right away which side of Prominent they need. The homepage shows both services side by side instead of leaving staffing as a single link.

Proof on every page

Client logos, case studies and testimonials from companies like Deloitte and Fiserv now appear throughout the site. A business evaluating Prominent sees real projects and real quotes long before they reach the contact form.

A confident, consistent look

The dark teal, warm orange and clean Urbane type give every page the same polished feel, from the video hero on the homepage to the FAQ sections on service pages. The design looks like a technology company that knows what it's doing.

Content the team can manage

Case studies, testimonials and team members are reusable content types, and the blog is set up for regular publishing. Prominent's team can add a new project or article without rebuilding pages.
